Unleashing America’s Energy Potential—One Grain at a Time
At King Proppant, we don’t just produce frac sand—we fuel a movement. As fracking technology propels the U.S. to record-breaking oil production levels, our premium sand is at the heart of the revolution.
Crafted by nature and perfected by technology, our proppants:
Fracking involves injecting proppants into fractures in slate formations, preventing the fractures from closing up and allowing oil and gas to folow to the well head
Proppants are materials with uniform shape and size, that can resist crushing, typically manufactured ceramics or naturally occuring sand that meets specific requirements for strength, size and uniformity
Our proppants are developed from a unique sand reserve in Winkler County, Texas. We have approximately 900 million tons of frac sand, 99.1% quartz, with 12,000 pounds of crush strength
Our proppants cost about the same as average frac sand, but the premium characteristics of our proppants size consistency and high resistance to crushing enables higher flows to the wellhead
